East Coast Surfing Championships
Hundreds of professional and amateur surfers travel from around the world to participate in the East Coast Surfing Championships. The ECSC is North America's longest running surf championship and has been hosted in Virginia Beach since 1963.

North American Sand Soccer Championships
Beach soccer has an amazing following and Virginia Beach is proud to host the North American Sand Soccer Championships! Teams participate up and down the boardwalk while hundreds of thousands of fans cheer their favorite sand soccer teams on! It's a fun sporting event for the entire family to attend.

Rock and Roll Half Marathon
The Virginia Beach Rock and Roll Half Marathon is hosted during Labor Day Weekend and attracts between 15,000 to 20,000 participants each year. It's a great time to enjoy one of the best beaches on the east coast along with our oceanfront hotels and beachfront resorts. The three and a half mile long Virginia Beach boardwalk is simply wonderful and it's the perfect place to race over the finish line!
